Back-to-School Drive from Friends of Joshua House

Tampa-based entrepreneur Jonathan “Jon” Yob serves as the president and founder of the Yob Family Foundation. Passionate about child-welfare advocacy, Jonathan Yob has volunteered with Tampa Bay community causes such as Friends of Joshua House, which was established as a fundraising arm to improve the quality of life of kids who have experienced abandonment or abuse and are living at Joshua House. To this end, the organization supports and raises resources for children through several programs, including the Back-to-School Drive.

Many of the youth who live at Joshua House arrive with no personal items, clothes, toys, or school supplies. The Back-to-School Drive provides these children with the resources necessary for school attendance and study work. Some of the most-needed items include backpacks, face masks, mini hand sanitizers, and plastic pocket folders. The drive also accepts markers and highlighters, along with binders and notebooks.

Those who do not want to buy specific supplies can gift money for these supplies, and Friends of Joshua House will purchase them as needed. One child’s school supplies and backpack are covered by a donation of $50, and a $250 contribution pays for their school clothes and shoes.
