Preserve Vision Florida’s Blog Features Monthly Vision-Health Topics

Award-winning entrepreneur and philanthropist Jonathan “Jon” Yob leads the Yob Family Foundation in Tampa, Florida, and the JAY Management Corporation as the president. Over the years, Jonathan Yob has contributed to various Tampa-area charitable groups through his foundation and as a volunteer. Such organizations include Preserve Vision Florida, which explores a different vision-health topic on its blog every month in order to provide Floridians with essential information for preserving their sight.

For more than 50 years, Preserve Vision Florida has been supporting healthy vision among children and adults through free vision screenings and education services. During National Glaucoma Month in January, the organization’s blog shares information about the symptoms of glaucoma and how it can lead to blindness. The condition affects over 2.2 million adults in America over the age of 40 and is referred to as the “sneak thief of sight” due to its lack of warning signs. The following month, Preserve Vision Florida addresses age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and low-vision aids. Over the remaining 10 months, the organization covers such subjects as fireworks safety, ultraviolet rays, sports eye safety, and diabetic eye disease.
